Trichology 101

Online class starting October 7, 2013!

Women, men and even children suffer from hair loss and other hair and scalp related disorders. In the online course, Trichology 101, you will be trained to diagnose external follicle hair loss on a scalp level, hair breakage, strand thinning and related scalp disorders. You will also gain understanding of scalp disorders and diseases, hair disorders and diseases, and hair biology.

The second and third courses, taught in a traditional classroom setting and lab, are Trichology Lab and Trichology Clinical. During lab, you learn how to analyze the scalp and hair using various levels of magnification. You will be taught how to diagnose hair diseases and offer prognoses. Working in an actual trichology clinic, students get hands on experience with consulting, analysis and treatments for various hair disorders and learn how to setup and operate a trichology clinic.
